Destiny or Choice? How Aromatherapy Reveals Your True Self

cle, I mentioned that my client with over 10-year anxiety was recovering - she used to have palpitations whenever she walked to a place of lower elevation. The issue of palpitations made her unable to drive, not even had the courage to start the car engine. The issue was solved with the use of an aromatherapy inhaler. She regained her confidence after tried the inhaler. The recovery process took two months. During that time, there were complications, possibly due to the fact that she had breast cancer before.

While she was using aromatherapy, she ate the wrong food which caused abdominal pain. There was fluid coming out of her wounds. This symptom continued for a month without any signs of improvement. I asked her to seek medical advice, but she refused.

I made her another inhaler to relieve her anxiety. After inhaling for three days (3 times a day), miracles happened. Her pain was completely stopped and there was no sign of fluid coming out of her wounds. At the same time, her anxiety seemed to fade away. Her palpitations disappeared. She attempted driving for the first time in several years. I advised her to take a driving course but she decided not to.

The inhaler that I made for her includes [the formulation is adapted from Butje (2014) (1)]:

5 drops of Rose (Rose damascene)

5 drops of Orange (Citrus sinensis)

5 drops of Patchouli (Pogostemom cablin)

According to Battaglia (2003) (2), the therapeutic properties of the combination are as follows:

Rose is associated with the heart. It is emotionally healing and is good for people with palpitations. It is also very soothing to those who have agitations, irritations, and anxiety. Orange is emotionally uplifting; it can move the stuck energy. Its calming nature can be used to soothe people with anxiety. Patchouli is grounding, soothing, and calming. It can relieve a person's tension and worries.

She told me that the inhaler resembles what the Chinese Medicine "Yunnan Bai Yao", because it helped her to heal the wound. In fact, she re-injured her wound before it was completely healed and it was painful. She used the inhaler several times and that stopped the pain. Since it is not conclusive to say that the inhaler is a version of "Yunnan Bai Yao", more research has to be done to validate it.

I made this inhaler to relieve her anxiety ailment without examining its other functions. What I found out during the course of her healing process was that inhaling essential oils could help relieve pain (Aromahead 2013) (3). The oils were able to heal the wound without being applied topically.

Her future looks brighter now. I saw that she had no desire to change her lifestyle. She envy my lifestyle as my husband supports my endeavors financially and logistically. She expects her husband to support her the same way my husband does. I suggested her to consult a psychologist to find the best option for her life.

After her recovery, the complexion of her faces glowed. She used to have black spots but now they are mostly gone. Her skin became more moist, fairer and healthier - an indication that she is in better health than before.

To help her to calm her "unlimited" desires, I made her an inhaler as follows [ the formulation is adapted from Chan (2015) (4)]:

2 drops of Clary Sage (Salvia scleria)

5 drops of Cardamom (Elettaria cardamom)

5 drops of Frankincense (Boswellia carteri)

Battaglia (2003) mentions in his book the therapeutic properties of the above combination:

Cardamom is a tonic to the nervous system. I chose this oil because the client has chronic anxiety which drained a lot of energy. It is also a cephalic which can keep my client clear minded. Clary sage is a general tonic to the body, it brings tranquility to the nervous system.

I am hoping that her mind would clear up, that she has the motivation to start a new life, and that her emotional wound would be healed.

After using the above oils for three days, her voice became very clear. She could express herself clearly and vividly. I discovered that she was biased toward expensive items and she wanted Rose essential oil and nothing else. However, I encouraged her to try this inhaler as it could make her sleep better. Our body will heal our ailments when it is at rest. When we are sick or having emotional issue, we may not be able to sense the right thing as there is a distortion in our perception. Since I am not the psychiatrist, I cannot diagnose whether she is completely healed or not. What I can say is that her life has returned to normal.

I have used this with people with Epilepsy or PTSD to relieve their nasal congestions or respiratory issues. The feedback has been very positive. It has improved their emotions and helped them clear their congestion and stuck energy.

How far can aromatherapy go in helping one to heal? The truth is it is just a part of the integrative process. Teamwork and combined resources have to be taken into account in the healing protocols. It is always a temptation to expect more, but sometimes less is better. In some cases it works better if we refer the client to another healthcare provider. The story of her recovery will continue, but who is going to be responsible for his or her own life if he or she leaves it to dest

Pain - 75% Is Mental, Only 25% Is Physical - Control Your Pain by Controlling Your Mind

t hurts! I am in so much pain! How many times we have this feeling of deep discomfort connected to different body areas - from toes to the tip of the head. Well, it is scientifically demonstrated that only 25 % of the paint we feel is the actual physical response due to damaged tissues. The other 75% of the pain feeling is the emotional part - our fear of being sick, the expectation of feeling pain, memories of other times when we felt pain, our prevision of having body damage or abnormal look etc. The actual physical pain, the 25% can be handled very well, even in extreme cases of illness. A lot of times we don't feel this pain because the injure is still "warm". Let me give a real example: few weeks ago I was trimming a tree with a chain saw when accidentally the chain saw snapped and the chain "touched" my left hand. The middle finger and the index finger were cut pretty deep and a lot of blood just squirted and it took a while to stop the bleeding. But I ha...
